Flat Rate Shipping Information and Prices

I am always trying to get more productive here.  In an effort to get orders to customers as soon as possible, I have been going to the post office 2 and 3 times a day.  I would like to make one trip a day.  So now, I will take the orders placed before 2pm MST in a single trip to the post office each day.

I have had alot of inquiries about flat rate prices for both domestic and international shipping.  I have been shipping with the U.S. Postal Service Flat rate system for now.  I am lookng into shipping with DHL for international shippments but have not started that yet.

*All international shipments will have to be made thru me by email and direct paypal payment until I can get a payment method put into the site.  I will include and denote the flat rate costs for international shipments below.

As far as I have seen, shipments that are within the U.S.  have followed a regular price schedule.  To each of these prices I have added a $.70 tracking cost.

The small box.   5-3/8” x 8-5/8” x 1-5/8 and allows for 4 lbs.  to be shipped.  It costs $4.95 for domestic shipments and $12.95 for international shippments.

The medium box.  11" X 8.5" X 5.5 and allows for 70 lbs. and costs $11.40 for domestic shipments and costs $41.95 but only allows 20 lbs for internatinal shippments.

I have been trying to come up with a shipping table to use that will be more automated and fair.  However, If there is a large difference in the shipping paid and the shipping cost, I will try to compensate with more of the desired product.

I will not be using the large size boxes because of poor delivery experiences.  The big boxes just don't hold up well for any amount of weight shipped.  I have used them only a few times and I think that most were delivered in a garbage bag after having the contents spat out on some dock somewhere.

As it is, I double up the boxes if the weights aproach 45 lbs in the medium box.
